My Going Away Cake

Cheri Bing at Forest Women's Center baked a cake and decorated it with glacial white icing, an igloo, and penguins in honor of my upcoming deployment. Thanks, Cheri!

What a great cake! You're not going to live in an igloo, are you? ;-)

I gave you a shout out/brag on my blog. This is going to be an awesome experience for you!

I'm here via Bubba's Sis. Don't worry, I know her in real life. ;)

That's an awesome cake! I can't read to read about your experiences in Antarctica. What an amazing experience for you.

Hey there! Came over here from Bubba's Sis. My husband is an ER doctor here in Texas. Sounds pretty exciting! Take care,

Are you sure that is an igloo? Looks like something I drew in Pictionary. It could be what will happen to you if you don't keep warm! Good luck!!

Enjoyed reading your blog. Reminded me of my year down south that ended in Nov 1968. Then we operated a nuclear power plant on Observation Hill, providing electricity and fresh water to McMurdo. The nuke is long gone; not sure about the distillation plant. Great nacreous clouds; I'll never forget them!
